From Global News.
Snow blanketed parts of Europe this week, marking a rare frosty episode in northwestern countries.
Paris experienced significant snow accumulation on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Brussels reported up to 5 centimeters of snow, prompting the Meteorological Office to issue a nationwide warning for slippery conditions.
In Slovenia, visitors enjoyed picturesque views of snowy Lake Bled, while near Budapest, lakes froze and homes were buried under heavy snow.
Though travel disruptions were significant, many welcomed the first snowfall in years, including polar bears at the Nyiregyhaza animal park, who joyfully played in the snow for the first time.
