At times shouting from the White House briefing room lectern, Vice President JD Vance fiercely defended the ICE agent who fatally shot a woman, calling the incident "an attack on law and order" and asserting that her death was "a tragedy of her own making." Former acting ICE director John Sandweg told CNN that it is "very disappointing" to see Vance "rush out to these conclusions" before an investigation is complete. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said that the FBI is blocking them from the shooting investigation.
