From Global News.
Calls are growing for stronger animal ownership laws in Nova Scotia following the death of Drew Nickerson.
The 13-year-old died in hospital after he was mauled by three “large-breed dogs” — identified as two Cane Corsos and a Rottweiler by RCMP — while riding his bicycle past a property on Upper Sandy Cove Road in Welshtown, N.S., on the evening of Jan. 3.
"Those dogs should not be allowed to run loose," said Trish Harris, a family friend and added, "It should never, never have happened. Let alone to a 13-year-old boy."
Mitchell Bailey has the latest.
