Several defendants—including Perpignan mayor Louis Aliot, regional councillor Wallerand de Saint-Just, MP Julien Odoul, and Patrick Maisonneuve, a lawyer representing the European Parliament—arrived at the Palais de Justice in Paris, the city’s historic courthouse that hosts major trials, for the opening of the appeal in the case concerning the FN’s (originally the Front National, now Rassemblement National – RN) European Parliament assistants.
