In a scrum in Ohio, United States Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said he did not expect the American supply of automobiles in Canada to be disrupted after Canada’s EV deal with China.
Canada reached a deal with China to increase the limit of import of Chinese electric vehicles (EVs) in exchange for Beijing dropping tariffs on agricultural products.
Greer said, "China is so dependent on the United States for their GDP," adding that the Chinese cars were going to only Canada, not the US.
