Spanish singer Julio Iglesias accused of sexual abuse by two ex-employees

Spain’s veteran singer and cultural icon Julio Iglesias has rejected allegations of sexual abuse lodged against him by two ex-employees, in a case that has dominated headlines.

The 82-year-old has asked authorities to dismiss the case, saying Spanish courts lack jurisdiction because the alleged events happened in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas.

Julio Iglesias is one of the most successful Latin artists of all time and the father of Enrique Iglesias, who has made a big impact on the global music charts with his own Latino brand of pop.
