On the heels of answering a different question by Global’s Colin D’Mello, Ontario Premier Doug Ford got some laughs as segued into a non-existent question about the federal government’s gun buyback program.

“Colin, I want to thank you for asking about the gun buyback as well… I’ve never, ever heard once someone come up to me and say — ‘You know those law-abiding hunters, let’s go take their guns’ — I’ve never heard that,” Ford said.

“Let’s start focusing on getting your bail reform, that you made a big deal about — you still haven’t passed it… You’re focusing on the wrong group,” Ford said. “I support law-abiding hunters and gun owners.”
