Millions of Americans remain hunkered down after a deadly winter storm barreled across the country killing at least nine people. Now, the freezing temperatures are putting nearly 200 million under cold alerts. Parts of the country were buried in at least 20 inches of snow while a combination of freezing rain and ice knocked down power lines and left nearly one million without power in dangerously cold conditions. NBC’s Erin McLaughlin reports for TODAY.
