Syria has been rocked by weeks of clashes between the Syrian army and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic forces, or SDF.
The fighting comes as the two sides struggle to implement a deal to merge the Kurds’ administration and military into the country’s new government.
Both sides agreed to a ceasefire on 20 January but have since traded blame over breaching the agreement.
