Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said that while he appreciated the “tone shift” from the Trump administration on what is going on in Minneapolis, he is still calling for a return to normalcy and for Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to leave the Twin Cities area.
White House border czar Tom Homan on Tuesday called his meetings with Minnesota officials “a productive starting point,” as the Trump administration has signaled new willingness to cooperate with the state’s Democratic elected officials.
