Compared us to Venezuela: Walz slams Trump & Homan deployment in Minnesota | MS NOW FULL INTERVIEW

From MSNBC.

In his first national sit-down interview since federal agents killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz told Jacob Soboroff that President Donald Trump privately compared immigration operations in Minnesota to a military campaign in Venezuela, a comparison Walz called shocking and dangerous. Walz said Trump’s decision to send Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino to Minnesota escalated tensions and treated the state like hostile territory rather than part of the United States. “He saw an operation in Venezuela against a foreign nation in the same context he saw an operation against a U.S. state,” Walz said of Trump. The governor said he is concerned that the recent deployment of immigration czar Tom Homan to the state will be “more of the same, but more efficient at this oppression.” Walz also discussed his decision not to seek another term and praised the grit of Minnesotans who pushed back against federal immigration force despite subzero temperatures and what he described as shocking scenes in Minneapolis.
