Government Shutdown Risk Grows After Another Fatal Minnesota Shooting

From CNBC.

The U.S. government is heading for a partial shutdown as Senate Democrats vow to oppose a funding package that includes appropriations for the Department of Homeland Security following a second fatal ICE shooting in Minnesota. Other parts of the government that would be affected include Defense, Treasury, State, Health and Human Services, Labor, Housing and Urban Development, Transportation, and Education. During the last government shutdown, which lasted a record 43 days, ICE functions were listed as ‘essential’ and continued despite the shutdown.
