When asked about how he felt about a group of Alberta separatists going to D.C. to ask U.S. officials for assistance, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said he was "dead against" going behind Canada’s back to negotiate. While he stopped short of calling it "treason" like B.C. Premier David Eby did earlier, he called it "unacceptable" and "unethical."

"I’m dead against… going behind Canada’s back and negotiating is unacceptable, we’re one country and we should all be sticking together," he said.

"We all know where President Trump stands. He wants Canada, and that’s not going to happen," he added.
