From Global News.
Canadian aerospace giant Bombardier is warning of “significant impact to air traffic and the flying public” from U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat to decertify the company’s Global Express jets and “all aircraft made in Canada.”
Trump said Thursday night he would slap a 50 per cent tariff on all aircraft sold into the United States from Canada and “decertify” some Bombardier planes unless the country’s aviation authority “immediately” certifies several business jets made by the American company Gulfstream.
Bombardier’s shares fell more than six per cent Friday on the heels of Trump’s threat.
Mackenzie Gray reports on the threat from the U.S. president and how it could impact the aviation industry.
