New details emerged Friday in an alleged plot to take over land in Quebec City. Four men with ties to the Canadian Armed Forces were arrested last summer, accused of trying to build up an anti-government militia.

Newly unsealed documents allege one of the soldiers, Marc-Aurèle Chabot, planned to seize cottages by force and “did not care about dying to accomplish his plan.” The documents also reveal the existence of a police informant among the militia.
