An alumina deposit in east central Saskatchewan contains so much of the critical mineral it could be a “potential game changer” for North American supply chains.

The Canadian Energy Metals Corp. (CEM) says the massive deposit is one of the largest in the world, holding an estimated 6.8 billion tonnes.

The discovery could position Saskatchewan as a new player in the growing global market.
