The Trump administration plans to reduce the number of federal immigration enforcement (ICE) agents in Minnesota by 700 according to White House border czar Tom Homan Wednesday. The described “draw down” follows weeks of large protests and the killings of two U.S. citizens by federal agents.

Homan also announced the use of body cameras will be deployed “immediately” to promote transparency, saying, “the president is supportive of this decision because we have nothing to hide.”

After the reduction in agents, around 2,000 agents will remain on the ground in Minneapolis.
