A Quebec hair salon has been ordered to pay $500 in compensation to a non-binary Montrealer following a ruling by the Quebec Human Rights Tribunal.
Alexe Frederic Migneault filed a complaint against Station 10 hair salon after they were required to select either female or male in the salon’s online booking portal.
Quebec’s human rights tribunal ruled in favour of Migneault, in a decision that could have a broader impact.
