Why are these 5,000 basketball-sized spheres deep under the ice in Antarctica?
It’s an observatory all the way down at the bottom of the world. It spans over a cubic kilometer in size and involves drilling 2500m below the surface.
It was a massive undertaking requiring tons of resources… so how did they do it?
