Bishop William Barber: Faith leaders must remain ‘as vigilant as injustices’ in political resistance

From MSNBC.

Faith leaders are at the forefront of the resistance against President Donald Trump’s most inhumane policies, from his immigration crackdown to voter suppression. Clergy rallied this week in Georgia against voter suppression, and in Illinois for immigrant rights. Last week, Bishop William J. Barber led a 50-mile march to advocate for all human rights. “What I see in this moment is faith leaders beginning to recognize that we cannot be in our sanctuaries, isolated at any time,” he said. “We have to be as vigilant as injustices.”
