Tough economic times are taking a toll on the once-booming B.C. wine industry, as at least three wineries in the Okanagan are listed for foreclosure.
“It’s always heartbreaking when one of these wineries doesn’t make it,” said Jeff Guignard, president and CEO of Wine Growers BC.
"The B.C. government doesn’t care about our industry, you know," another winery owner, Ron Kubek, said.
As Victoria Femia reports, the industry was hit hard since COVID-19 and the destruction of grapes in the Okanagan.
