President Donald Trump reunited relatives from Venezuela during his State of the Union speech,. Trump said the uncle and niece were separated due to an imprisonment during Nicolás Maduro’s time as president.
Trump touted the raid on Maduro’s compound in Caracas that resulted in American authorities bringing the longtime Venezuelan leader and his wife Clilia to the US to face charges. Those charges include narco-terrorism, conspiracy to import cocaine, and weapons offenses, including possession of machine guns.
