Al Green removed from SOTU: Rep. says ejection tied to ‘deplorable’ Trump post of Obama AI video

From USA TODAY.

A Democratic congressman had choice words for President Donald Trump before his State of the Union Address.

As Trump walked to the podium in the House of Representatives chamber, Rep Al Green, D-Texas, held a sign behind the president reading: "Black people aren’t apes."

Green was ushered out of the chamber minutes later. He appeared to have a heated exchange with several Republicans as he left the chamber. Green said in an inerview outside his protest was tied to an AI- generated video posted by Trump that depicted Barack and Michelle Obama as apes.
