From PBS NewsHour.
Actor Robert Carradine has died.
Carradine first gained national attention for his portrayal of Lewis Skolnick in 1984’s "Revenge of the Nerds" and a number of sequels. He went on to co-host a competition show called "King of the Nerds."
Carradine worked steadily for 40 years in film and TV, winning over a new audience as Lizzie McGuire’s father on the Disney Channel show of the same name.
His family says Carradine had lived with bipolar disorder for 20 years and that he died by suicide. Carradine was 71 years old.
