Acting Columbia University President Claire Shipman said DHS officials on Thursday entered a residential building owned by the university and detained a student. Shipman also said the federal agents had misrepresented themselves to gain access to the building, saying that they were searching for a “missing person.” The student was later freed after NYC Mayor Mamdani met with Trump.
