From Global News.
Bill Clinton’s opening statement was released moments after his motorcade pulled up for his deposition. In it, the former president rejects any suggestion he knew about Epstein’s crimes.
He writes that their “brief acquaintance” ended years before it became public. “Though I never witnessed, during our limited interactions, any indication of what was truly going on, I am here to offer what little I know so that it might prevent anything like this from ever happening again.”
Democrats insisted that Friday’s hearing sets a new precedent — if a former president can be deposed, so can a sitting president.
Global’s Mike Armstrong reports.
