U.S. President Donald Trump said in an eight-minute video posted to Truth Social that the United States has begun “major combat operations in Iran.”

He accused Tehran of continuing to advance its nuclear program and develop long-range missiles capable of threatening the U.S., saying the objective is to eliminate those risks.

Trump warned there could be American casualties as the operation unfolds.

He also appealed directly to the Iranian people, urging them to “take over your government” once the military campaign is complete.
