BREAKING: Donald Trump says Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei killed in airstrikes | BBC News

From BBC News.

Donald Trump has announced that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been killed.

The US President stated on his Truth Social platform: "This is not only Justice for the people of Iran, but for all Great Americans, and those people from many Countries throughout the World.”

"He was unable to avoid our Intelligence and Highly Sophisticated Tracking Systems and, working closely with Israel, there was not a thing he, or the other leaders that have been killed along with him, could do… This is the single greatest chance for the Iranian people to take back their Country.”

Satellite images show the compound of Iran’s Supreme Leader in ruins, following the launch of attacks by the US and Israel across the country. Israel said it had killed seven other senior Iranian leaders in the strikes.

In response, Iran launched attacks throughout the Middle East. Strikes have been reported in Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, and Kuwait – all places with US military bases, or that are allied to the US.
