A presenter on Iranian state television announces the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s, as the channel broadcast archive images with a black banner as a sign of mourning. Khamenei, who was killed on the first day of joint US and Israeli strikes on Iran, had been the country’s supreme leader since 1989.
