US President Donald Trump has posted a video statement on Truth Social saying the US will "deliver the most punishing blow" to the Iranian regime.

The president warned "there will likely be more" US deaths after three service members were killed.

He said "combat operations" against Iran will continue "until all of our objectives are achieved”.

It comes after Israel and the US struck Iran on Saturday, killing the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Israeli military now says it has launched additional strikes on Tehran.

Meanwhile, new Iranian strikes have been reported across the Middle East.
