Police investigate after Iranian-owned gym in Thornhill hit by gunfire

York Regional Police are investigating a targeted shooting at a boxing gym in Thornhill owned by a prominent Iranian-Canadian activist.

No one was hurt, but bullets ripped through the front of the business early Sunday morning.

Salar Gholami was a lead organizer of the massive Iranian protests that have seen hundreds of thousands take to the streets in recent weeks.

As Nicole Di Donato reports, he believes the shooting was an attack on the Iranian-Canadian community.
