On today’s Philip DeFranco Show, we cover the latest on Trump’s war on Iran, what "Operation Epic Fury" actually looks like on the ground, how the strikes killed Ayatollah Khamenei and 40 senior officials, the devastating attack on an Iranian girls’ school, Iran’s retaliation across the Middle East including strikes in Israel, Kuwait, the UAE, Bahrain and Qatar, the 4 American service members killed so far, the friendly fire incident over Kuwait, surging oil prices and global travel chaos, and why the Pentagon’s own briefings say there was no intelligence that Iran planned to attack first.

AOC calls it a deliberate choice of aggression. Bernie Sanders says it’s unconstitutional. Ro Khanna is pushing a war powers vote that he admits probably won’t pass. And on the right, Candace Owens is blaming Israel, Marjorie Taylor Greene is calling it "America Last," and MTG and Laura Loomer are publicly going at each other over it. Plus, Polymarket saw $530 million in bets tied to the strikes, with Bloomberg flagging suspicious accounts that look like insider trading, and a trader called "Magamyman" made over $500K betting on Khamenei’s death.
We also cover three mass violence events that hit the U.S. within 12 hours this weekend. A shooting in Austin, Texas, now being investigated as a potential act of terrorism, left 3 dead and 14 injured on Sixth Street near the University of Texas campus. The shooter wore a hoodie reading "Property of Allah" and had been posting support for the Iranian regime since 2017. This is Austin’s deadliest mass shooting in 60 years and the president has not addressed it. In Cincinnati, 9 people were shot at the Riverfront Live music venue. And in Washington D.C., a man stabbed 4 people and killed a dog in a road rage attack on the Capital Beltway, and D.C. police said it didn’t qualify as a mass stabbing. We break down what all of this says about how normalized mass violence has become in America.
Plus, France just expanded its nuclear arsenal for the first time since 1992. President Macron announced increased nuclear cooperation with European allies in a historic shift in French defense doctrine, a direct response to Trump’s weakening commitment to NATO and transatlantic security. What this means for Europe, for nuclear deterrence, and for the future of the U.S. alliance system.
And finally, Democrats say they now have bipartisan support to subpoena Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. The Epstein files show Lutnick emailing Epstein after his sex crime conviction, and the DOJ briefly pulled a photo of Lutnick with Epstein on his island for a "nudity review" despite no nudity in the image.
