Two people are in custody in New York City after protests outside the Mayor’s residence turned violent. The NYPD says the suspects are accused of throwing incendiary devices toward a small group of “anti-Islam protesters,” led by a right-wing influencer. Mayor Zohran Mamdani was home at the time but was not injured.
