An explosion damaged the entrance to the U.S. embassy compound in Oslo early Sunday, but no injuries were reported. 

 Norwegian police say the blast happened around 1 a.m. near the consular section, sending thick smoke into the street. 

 Authorities are searching for one or more possible perpetrators and say no additional explosive devices were found. 

Eyewitness Sebastian Toerstad said, “We later saw when we looked at the news that it was some sort of attack… there is damage at one of the openings to the U.S. embassy.”
