Deportation hearing begins for alleged Iranian regime official

An alleged senior member of the Iranian regime is arguing that he should be allowed to stay in Canada.

It is the first deportation hearing to take place since the regime killed thousands of protestors in January 2026.

The alleged member asked the government to keep his hearings private. Global news fought that decision so we could report on it.
