From Global News.
For the first time since the Ontario government announced an overhaul to the province’s freedom of information laws (FOI), Premier Doug Ford faced the media on Monday.
The move comes after an Ontario court ordered Ford to comply with an FOI request and hand over his cellphone records.
The province said it would appeal the court’s decision, but instead unveiled sweeping, retroactive changes to the transparency law.
Colin D’Mello reports on the changes and the reaction from critics.
