From AFP News Agency.
In the remote mountains of Central Asia, a family has been breeding rare white yaks for years. The Akmatovs say their white wool is strong and easy to dye compared to the cattle’s usual dark-brown hair.
The animals are also more sustainable than other varieties of cattle since they reduce pressure on rural land by grazing on isolated high-altitude pastures and are well adapted to variable climates.
