BBC goes “beyond” fake news, reports “corrupt fraudulent news,” Trump says amid defamation lawsuit

From Global News.

U.S. President Donald Trump has critiqued the BBC once more amid a $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the British broadcasting giant.

In the lawsuit, Trump claims the BBC defamed him by splicing together parts of a Jan. 6, 2021, speech, including one section where he told supporters to march on the Capitol, and another where he said, “fight like hell.”

Asked how he the legal case was going Tuesday, Trump reiterated that the publicly-owned network “put words in my mouth” using artificial intelligence.

Furthermore, the Republican leader said he recently watched a “totally inaccurate” BBC report on the Iran war, claiming the story went “beyond” his token “fake news” slogan, and was instead “corrupt fraudulent news.”
