Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard faced questions tied to briefing Donald Trump on the Iran war, specifically tied to Trump’s response tied to reports before strikes began that Iranians would close the Strait of Hormuz as well as attack neighboring Middle Eastern countries.

During the intelligence hearing, CIA director John Ratcliffe also dismissed an assertion made in now former director of the National Counterterrorism Center Joe Kent’s resignation, which alleged the US did not face an ‘imminent threat" from Iran.
