Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth told reporters that he is not concerned about the war in Iran becoming a ‘forever war’ or a military ‘quagmire,’ defending the administration against criticism that the conflict is going forward without goals. In the press conference alongside Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine, Hegseth also confirmed reporting that the White House is asking congress for $200 billion in supplemental funding to bankroll the war, telling reporters that ‘it takes money to kill bad guys.’
