The Afghan government said that about 400 people were killed in what they say is a Pakistani airstrike on a drug rehabilitation centre in the capital, Kabul.
It is the deadliest attack in the recent violence between the two neighbours.
Pakistan has denied deliberately targeting the facility, instead saying it had conducted precision strikes on “military installations and terrorist support infrastructure”.
