“All I want is to find my son” : Families of Swiss bar fire victims hold vigil

From Global News.

Mourners held a vigil at the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana on Thursday, less than 24 hours after around 40 people were killed and 115 injured when a fire ripped through a crowded bar during a New Year’s Eve party.

Police said the fire broke out at 1:30 a.m. as revellers were celebrating in a bar called Le Constellation in the resort in southwestern Switzerland, which locals said was popular with teenagers.

The mother of a 16-year-old boy, Laetitia Brodard-Sitre, missing in the fire said on Friday that parents of the missing adolescents are trying to keep hope alive of finding their children again.

“All I want is to find my child, all I want is to find my son," Brodard-Sitre said.

"It was like a horror movie," said resident Ilan Achour, a witness to people fleeing the fire.
