Niagara Regional Police say the suspect wanted for the fatal shooting of an Brampton, Ont. woman, and linked to an Amber Alert, was shot and killed by police early Wednesday.

Police said they found the suspect inside a vehicle at a gas station near Thorold Stone and Montrose roads in Niagara Falls. They said officers “became involved” with the vehicle and the suspect was shot by police.

Anthony Deschepper, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers were injured.
