Rep. Ilhan Omar and Rep. Annie Craig said they were told to leave a immigration detention facility in Minneapolis, which they legally have a right to observe, as protests against federal immigration efforts take place in the city following a shooting by an ICE agent that Minnesota woman.
Protests against ICE have spread nationwide in the wake of shooting. The agent, identified in court documents as Jonathan Ross, has not yet been charged. The victiim in the case, Renee Nicole Good, was a 37-year-old mother of three.
