Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced Wednesday that Canada and Australia have signed a series of new agreements on critical minerals, calling the two nations “critical mineral superpowers.”
Carney, who made the remarks during his address to the Australian Parliament on Wednesday, said Australia had also joined the G7 Critical Minerals Alliance.
Carney is visiting Australia as part of a 10-day trip to bolster alliances with other middle powers, including India and Japan.
