Police defended their handling of information regarding the overseas capture of a wanted B.C. fugitive Rabih Alkhalil on Thursday.
As Rumina Daya reports, CFSEU-BC are being asked why they told the media on Sept. 8 that Rabih Alkhalil was at large, when several sources told Global News he had actually been arrested.
Alkhalil has a crime history and escaped from a B.C. prison three years ago.
He was taken into custody in Qatar this month.
