British Columbia Premier David Eby said Monday that the province will go ahead with its own American ad campaign targeting U.S. President Donald Trump’s "unfair and absurd" lumber tariffs, despite the president blowing up trade talks with Canada last week over Ontario’s anti-tariff ad.

Eby expressed support and solidarity with Ontario Premier Doug Ford, noting that it is “absolutely essential that we talk to Americans about the implications of tariffs.”

“Trade policy in the United States right now is not governed by logic… but by something else entirely… by one individual in the White House,” Eby told reporters.
