A cargo plane skidded off the runway at Hong Kong International Airport before colliding with a security patrol car and slamming it into the sea.

Both people in the car were killed. The Boeing 747 operated by Turkish arline ACT was arriving from the United Arab Emirates when it slid across the north runway into the water. The four crew members on board were rescued and brought to hospital. The north runway remains closed while investigators determine the cause of the crash.
