Bosnia is notorious for high rates of deaths linked to air pollution. The capital Sarajevo is also affected by the problem. For two days in January, the city recorded the worst air quality of any major city in the world.
The government of the Sarajevo region is trying to combat this pollution with a strategy to reduce the use of coal and wood.
