Sirens blare at the Royal Air Force (RAF) base and the British sovereign Base Area (SBA) in Akrotiri, Cyprus, as fighter jets take off to intercept the threat. About 70 cars were seen leaving the Akrotiri base area on the southern coast of the Mediterranean island, the correspondent said, adding that most of them bore civilian license plates.
